TIGARIHIT Colorful Village in Parapat is a new tourist destination for tourists who enjoy the natural beauty and hospitality of the people around Lake Toba, North Sumatra.
According to the President Director of the Lake Toba Authority Implementing Agency (BPODT) Arie Prasetyo in his statement, said that the inauguration which was held to coincide with the 75th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, 2020, was a momentum to revive Lake Toba tourism which was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The inauguration of the Colorful Tourism Village is carried out by implementing strict health protocols. Tigarihit Tourism Village is located in Girsang Sipangan Bolon District, Simalungun Regency. Precisely on Jalan Colonel TPR Sinaga, not far from Parapat City,” said Arie Prasetyo.
The villagers, who mostly work as tourism workers, realize that their area can be an attractive tourist attraction. They then changed the house paint to various colors to create a beautiful and attractive spectrum for tourists to enjoy. In addition, the mural arts that exist at several points make Kampung Tigarihit even more “instagramable”.
“BPODT really pays attention to Tigarihit as one of the tourist destinations in the Lake Toba area. Moreover, the people of Tigarihit really support this,” Arie Prasetyo said.
Besides enjoying the spectrum of colors in Kampung Tigarihit, Arie also introduces and invites tourists to enjoy the sunset in Tigarihit. In the inauguration of the Tigarihit Colorful Village, BPODT promoted a sunset show on the shores of the exotic Lake Toba. There is also a torch parade and a lantern show.
Now tourists who stay around Parapat can take a leisurely walk while enjoying coffee and a beautiful sunset on the northern tip of Samosir Island.
“We want to show all the interesting sides of Tigarihit. Enjoying the sunset on Lake Toba from the hills of Tigarihit is something very interesting. We cannot create this extraordinary natural beauty, it has been given by God. How do we want to enjoy it, that’s where ideas and creativity emerge,” Arie noted.
The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Wishnutama Kusubandio, welcomed the inauguration of the Tigarihit Colorful Village which is a new attraction on Lake Toba, one of the five super priority destinations set by the government. Tigarihit Colorful Village is a form of creativity and innovation from the community in maximizing the potential for natural beauty as well as culture.
“The current pandemic situation demands that all parties be more creative and innovative. We must all strive to be extra ordinary in order to have a tremendous impact. Hopefully the presence of the Colorful Tigarihit Village will have a big impact on the community,” Wishnutama concluded. [traveltext.id]
