BPPT ASSESSES APPLICATION OF TECHNOLOGY IN TOURISM & CREATIVE ECONOMY SECTOR

THE Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy in collaboration with the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT) collaborates in the study and application of technology to support the tourism sector and the creative economy.

The signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two parties was carried out in conjunction with the peak event of BPPT’s 42nd Anniversary celebration with the theme “Building a Technology Innovation Ecosystem for Advanced Indonesia” at the BJ Habibie Building Auditorium, Jakarta. The signing was carried out symbolically by the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Angela Tanoesoedibjo with the Head of BPPT Hammam Riza.

According to Angela Tanoesoedibjo, explaining that this memorandum of understanding was very important to advance the parekraf sector in facing the challenges ahead. Especially during this pandemic, when technology is needed to facilitate communication and collaboration with various parties.

Meanwhile, in his remarks, the Head of the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT) Hammam Riza said that our party will continue to echo technological transformation and digital transformation. BPPT is ready to realize a big leap of innovation, supporting the ideals of Advanced Indonesia towards an innovation-based country.

Hammam Riza also said, to present the best technology innovation and services in order to realize the vision of Indonesia Gold 2045, it requires collaboration of all stakeholders in an innovation ecosystem. The pentahelix innovation ecosystem, carries a pattern of cooperation between governments, industry/business, academics, to community support and the mass media.

“All of these elements are stakeholders in the organizers of science and technology in producing innovative products made in Indonesia,” he concluded. [traveltext.id]
