THE Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK), Prof. Muhadjir Effendy said that the Mandalika MotoGP which will be held in 2021 can introduce West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) tourism to the world.
“Through this MotoGP we introduce NTB tourism to the world,” said Muhadjir Effendy while reviewing the construction of the Mandalika MotoGP circuit in Kuta Village, Central Lombok Regency.
For this reason, Muhajir hopes that a classy event like the MotoGP which will be held at the Mandalika circuit can go according to expectations, because MotoGP can overcome unemployment, overcome poverty and of course boost national tourism, especially tourism in NTB.
“It turns out that from the past until now, Lombok-NTB is still famous for its beauty. For that, my visit to the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (KEK), to review and carry out President Joko Widodo’s orders to see first-hand the progress of earthquake-resistant housing (RTG) construction and the progress of the construction of the Mandalika MotoGP circuit,” he noted.
He explained that apart from restoring post-earthquake people’s homes, we are here to ensure that all activities, especially tourism activities, continue.
Especially for tourism, continued Muhadjir, I hope that not only the circuit will be the pride of the nation, but customs, the handicraft industry will be a special attraction for anyone who comes to NTB.
“Therefore, I invite all forces in NTB to socialize awareness of wearing masks. This is all part of the government’s efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in NTB. Only by using a mask is one way to reduce the number of exposure to death due to COVID-19,” he concluded. [antaranews]
