Benget Saragih, reviewed the Ibis Styles Mangga Dua hotel, Jakarta, one of the hotels recommended by the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) and had been checked for readiness by the Ministry of Health.
Tourism Ministry directly observes the flow of patient arrivals when they arrive at the triage room for interviews by doctors and nurses from the Ministry of Health to enter the room to carry out isolation. Likewise with the procedures for patients to get services such as food, drinks and health services prepared by the Ministry of Health.
Not only for patients, Wishnutama also ensures the readiness of hotel workers so that they can really carry out their duties to serve but remain safe for COVID-19.
“I really emphasize that the health protocol must be implemented so that our common goals and hopes are that the spread of COVID-19 can be suppressed or even become a new cluster so that we can enter an era of better adaptation of new habits,” Wishnutama said.
Previously, Tourism Ministry and the Ministry of Health prepared a Standard Operating Procedure (Flowchart) regarding the implementation mechanism related to how people who are positively infected with COVID-19 but without symptoms can check-in at designated hotels.
He also appreciated the hotel for being ready to carry out the procedures required by the Ministry of Health, while hoping that the same thing was carried out by other hotels participating in this program.
“In general, the preparation is good and ready to run this program. We will also see the quality of the food, the quality of the rooms is also good. It is hoped that with this good service condition, people who are psychologically ill will recover faster because their immunity will increase,” he noted.
Wishnutama explained that this program would first start running in Jakarta and other areas according to the direction of the Ministry of Health.
“The Ministry of Health will direct where it will be developed, Tourism Ministry supports the budget. Meanwhile, the budget prepared is Rp100 billion until December,” Wishnutama affirmed.
With the additional support of the hotel as an independent isolation accommodation, in the future confirmation patients without symptoms and with mild symptoms are expected not to self-isolate at home, so that they do not have the potential to infect their family and people around them.
“In accordance with President Joko Widodo’s direction, the government continues to add isolation places for COVID-19 patients without symptoms or those with mild symptoms in the context of controlling COVID-19,” Wishnutama concluded. [traveltext.id]
