THE Rolls-Royce Ghost released earlier this month now has an “Extended” version with 170 mm wider rear seat legroom to provide more comfort during long trips.
According to the CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Torsten Muller-Otvos in a press release said the development of both regular and “Extended” versions of Ghost was carried out by the company by listening to the desires of consumers who, on average, work as entrepreneurs at the global level, so they need comfortable seats.
“New Ghost is the result of deep dialogue with Rolls-Royce’s diverse and global customer base. Many of them asked us to build a car that indulges in an enhanced rear space without compromising driving dynamics. Ghost Extended responds to this customer demand by creating a product with dual purpose in mind. in order to increase business and lifestyle needs,” Torsten said.
He added that the first shipment of Rolls-Royce Ghost “Extended” will be made in the first quarter of 2021. Ghost Extended offers 170mm more space than the regular Ghost, by extending the size of the rear door and body around the rear door, while maintaining the design lines of the car.
“Thanks to the longer seating area, Ghost Extended can use a Serenity Seat that reclines so it looks like a business jet cabin. The rear cabin of the car contains a refrigerator with two temperature options, namely 6 degrees Celsius for non-vintage champagne and 11 degrees Celsius for vintage champagne, “he said.
He explained again, Ghost is equipped with a Micro-Environment Purification System (MEPS) to improve the air filtration system through software and hardware. The highly sensitive dirt detection sensor can detect ambient air quality, automatically activating the intake of fresh air into “Recirculation Mode”. [antaranews]
