INDONESIAN President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) wants Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), to truly become a premium tourist area in Indonesia.
President Jokowi reviewed and controlled the start of the arrangement of tourist areas in Labuan Bajo, Komodo, West Manggarai, NTT, Thursday, as witnessed by video footage.
“The arrangement is all adjusted to the nature of the area, so it looks very natural for anyone who will visit and the Labuan Bajo area will become an area that is truly premium,” said the President in NTT.
The President said that the arrangement was carried out in two stages, where the first stage was expected to be completed by the end of 2020, and the second stage could be completed in 2021.
A number of arrangements for tourist areas in NTT that were described by the President include Batu Cermin Cave, the Puncak Waringin area, the Kampung Ujung area to the Marina, the transfer of the port to the Wae Kelambu area, as well as the arrangement on Rinca Island which is the habitat of the Komodo dragons.
