CAPITALAND, The Ascott Limited (Ascott) owned lodging business unit, The Ascott Limited (Ascott), has opened Citadines Berawa Beach Bali in the heart of Canggu, a destination on the southwest coast of Bali, Indonesia.
According to Ervin Yeo, Ascott’s Managing Director for Southeast Asia, said this 224-unit serviced residence is very close to Berawa Beach and surrounded by a number of cafes, restaurants, retail and recreation options. Seminyak is only a 20-minute drive from the property, a well-known tourist destination with upscale shops, bars and restaurants.
“This property is only a 30-minute drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport. With Citadines Berawa Beach Bali, Ascott has more than 150 properties and more than 23,000 units spread across more than 40 cities in Indonesia, strengthening Ascott’s position as the largest international owner and operator of serviced residences and hotels in Indonesia,” Ervin said.
Ervin Yeo explained that Indonesia is one of Ascott’s biggest markets in Southeast Asia. Despite COVID-19, Ascott remains resilient with a strong base for long-term stay guests and corporate guests who value the comfort of our homes, the privacy and security of where we live.
“Citadines is our fastest growing brand globally with more than 160 properties and more than 29,000 units in 25 countries. We see the potential for the Citadines brand to grow and resonate with guests in Bali. We plan to open five additional properties under the Citadines brand in Jakarta, Bandung and Batam,” Ervin noted.
Ervin added that the opening of Citadines Berawa Beach Bali increased Ascott’s operating properties in Indonesia to 70. We have a strong network of properties to open in Indonesia and this includes 11 serviced residences scheduled to open in the next two years.
