CITILINK Indonesia expands air connectivity in Indonesia by opening three new domestic routes from Jakarta (Cengkareng) to Kendari, Jakarta (Cengkareng) to Kupang and Denpasar to Labuan Bajo starting Thursday (11/2).
According to the President Director of Citilink, Juliandra said that the opening of the three new routes is a form of Citilink’s commitment to providing access to air transportation that connects between islands in Indonesia and is part of Citilink’s commitment to expanding the flight network in eastern Indonesia. The Cengkareng-Kendari, Cengkareng-Kupang and Denpasar-Labuan Bajo flights will then be served every day using Airbus A320.
“We are optimistic that this route will be of great interest to the public, both for business people and for travel, considering that this flight is also connected (connecting flight) with flights to other big cities which are economic centers in Indonesia such as Surabaya, Medan and Batam,” he said via broadcast. the press.
He also outlined a number of reasons for opening routes to Kupang and Kendari, which are the capital and provincial economic centers, which are expected to create opportunities for economic activity to be more active and grow rapidly during this new habitual adaptation period.
Meanwhile, the Denpasar-Labuan Bajo route was opened as a form of Citilink’s support for the development of super priority tourist destinations that have been set by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
Despite its expansionary opening of new routes, during this COVID-19 pandemic, Citilink continues to implement strict health protocols in all its flight operations, from pre, in, to post-flight by referring to the health protocol stipulated by the government to ensure all flights run optimally while still prioritizing health and safety for all customers.
As for January 13, 2021, the subsidiary of Garuda Indonesia has opened new flight routes for Padang-Balikpapan and Balikpapan-Manado and has also opened Padang-Medan flight routes starting January 14, 2021.
