THE Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy inaugurated the use of the QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) digital transaction method for the field of golf sports tourism.
According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, said QRIS is a digital transaction method initiated by Bank Indonesia (BI) to unify various QR codes from various Payment System Service Providers (PJSP).
In the inauguration ceremony held at the Bali National Golf Club, Nusa Dua, Sandiaga said the QRIS payment method is one form of innovation in efforts to develop the potential for sports tourism, especially golf in Indonesia. QRIS is a payment solution today,” Sandiaga said.
Sandiaga revealed that sports tourism during the COVID-19 pandemic was an option in traveling. According to him, tourists tend to prefer to travel with activities that have a positive impact on their health.
“There are also many digital payment methods available in an effort to limit physical contact. So, he invited various parties to continue to socialize payments using the QRIS method. We will continue to socialize this QRIS method. But because we are still in a pandemic era, we will promote this by implementing strict and disciplined health protocols,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Bank Indonesia Bali Representative Office, Trisno Nugroho, added that QRIS is a solution for the public in fast and safe transactions. “QRIS Bank Indonesia is a digital payment instrument solution that can be applied in all sectors, especially the tourism sector, which requires everything to be fast, easy, cheap, and safe.
