THE Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy stated that there are five things that must be owned by tourist lodges or homestays to be able to support the acceleration of the recovery of the tourism sector.
According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno in a seminar entitled “Encouraging Tourism Potential through Homestay Financing” which was held on a hybrid basis from Solo, Central Java, Tuesday (23/3) said I entrusted five special homestay needs, first, linen (bed linen). and towels should be white. Second, there must be WiFi. Third, clean bathroom with shower (shower). Fourth, the option to get television.
“The last thing a homestay must have is to present alternative creative economy products for tourists’ dinner or breakfast. This is what must be there because during lunch the guests are usually outside, traveling,” Sandiaga Uno said.
He explained that the Ministry of Tourism has a Government Incentive Assistance Program (BIP), one of which is also given to develop homestay businesses in Indonesia. BIP is a program that aims to provide additional working capital and/or fixed asset investment to tourism business actors and the creative economy. Especially for the tourism or homestay sector, assistance will be provided in the form of working capital to increase the capacity of tourist lodges.
“The linens are not white yet, those that do not have WiFi, the showers do not have hot water. We can improve this and also the capacity of the business players. The BIP program can also be used to pay for labor and others,” he stated.
Sandiaga Uno added, in addition to distributing BIP, the government is collaborating with the private sector in a public private people partnership scheme, one of which is with PT Sarana Multigriya Finansial (SMF) opening access to special homestay financing. [traveltext.id/photo special]
