THE implementation of the health protocol and Cleanliness, Health, Safety and Environmental Sustainability (CHSE) certification is one of the solutions to revive the Indonesian tourism industry in the midst of a pandemic.
According to the Director of Inter-Agency Relations, Ministry of Tourism & Creative Economy, Reza Fahlevi said CHSE certification aims to restore the confidence of tourists to return to visit tourist destinations. With this CHSE certification it can be used as an acknowledgment that a business unit has met health, cleanliness, safety and environmental sustainability standards.
“The CHSE certification is also an effort to help revive tourism actors back to their former glory. Not only for the recovery of the tourism industry, but also for the recovery of Indonesia’s economy,” said Reza.
Meanwhile Director of the Labuan Bajo-Flores Tourism Authority, Shana Fatina, adding that the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy hopes that all tourism stakeholders in Labuan Bajo will unite and collaborate to provide various new ideas in improving and understanding the substance of the draft CHSE guidelines.
So, said Shana, Labuan Bajo as one of the five super priority destinations, is able to rise up and bring Indonesia’s name back into a destination that is safe, comfortable, and has competitive value on the national and international stage.
Collaborating with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, tiket.com as an accommodation and tour operator platform, makes it easy for customers to choose accommodation that is already CHSE and labeled tiketClean, by simply selecting the Indonesia Care filter when choosing accommodation.
Indonesia Care is an initiative of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy which ensures that tourist attractions and accommodations apply health protocols and are CHSE certified, in accordance with health, safety and hygiene standards set by the Government of Indonesia and the World Health Organization (WHO).
Gaery Undarsa, Co-Founder & Chief Marketing Officer of tiket.com, said that his party is committed to supporting tourism recovery, one of which is a super priority destination, namely Labuan Bajo, but also sustainable efforts based on collaboration with regulators and operators so that they can find and carry out urgent solutions.
