AIRASIA Indonesia applies a special operating policy during the prohibition period for Lebaran 2021 homecoming (6-17 May 2021).
According to the President Director of AirAsia Indonesia Veranita Yosephine, through her press release, in accordance with the government’s direction regarding the elimination of Idul Fitri 1442 H/2021 homecoming in Indonesia, which refers to the Circular (SE) of the Task Force for Handling COVID-19 No. 13/2021, passengers who can travel in the period 6-17 May 2021 are those who meet one of the predetermined categories.
The first category is for those who work or on an official trip. The second category is those who make visits to the sick family. Then the visit from the bereaved family member died, and pregnant women were accompanied by 1 family member or 2 family members for the purpose of childbirth, “he said.
He explained, in connection with this matter, AirAsia Indonesia will continue to operate serving special domestic routes for passengers who already have the required documents, “he said in a press release recently.
“The airline with the flight code QZ specifies a number of required documents, namely a written travel permit from the head of an agency/company or a written travel permit from the Village/village head, or a special exit/entry permit (SIKM) for Jakarta,” said Veranita Yosephine.
As previously, he continued, the Ministry of Transportation had emphasized that a temporary ban on commercial and non-commercial air transportation was imposed during the Lebaran 2021 homecoming period with a number of parties who were included in the exception category.
She added, we understand that airline operators who will conduct exempted flights can use an existing route permit or submit a flight approval (FA) to the Directorate General of Air Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation.
Exceptions for air transport are applied to: flights of heads of high institutions and state guests, operations of embassies, consulates generals and foreign consulates and representatives of international organizations, special flight operations for repatriation, law enforcement operations, order and emergency services, cargo transportation operations, and other pioneering air transportation operations with permission from the Director General of Air Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation.
“Supervision will be carried out by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, airport administrators, the regional government, and the COVID-19 Task Force, which will be carried out at coordination posts or check points at airport terminals,” she concluded. [photo special]
