BEWARE OF INCREASING OF COVID-19 CASES WHILE TOURIST ATTRACTIONS OPEN

THE following are a number of humanities news that was interesting to read this morning, including Indonesia is wary of a spike in COVID-19 cases such as in India, positive cases of COVID-19 in the country this week has increased quite sharply, local tourist objects may open for economic balance.

“The Indonesian government is keeping an eye on a number of things related to the spike in COVID-19 cases, such as what happened in India. There are three things that trigger the spike in cases in India. First, the vaccination is still low and the health protocol is forgotten,” said Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin in Jakarta.

Meanwhile, Coordinator of the Expert Team and Government Spokesperson for Handling COVID-19 Wiku Adisasmito said positive cases this week had increased quite sharply compared to last week’s decline.

“It is very unfortunate that after experiencing a decline last week, this week the addition of positive cases and deaths has increased again. The increase in positive cases this week is quite sharp, namely 14.1% after previously falling by approximately 14% last week,” said Wiku in a virtual press conference when conveying the progress of positive cases, recovering and dying of COVID-19 per week as of April 18, 2021, Jakarta, Tuesday (20/4).

The increase in positive cases and deaths could be due to the impact of the Easter holiday on April 4, 2021 and decreased compliance with health protocols that may have occurred due to the vaccination euphoria.

Likewise, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Muhadjir Effendy, stated that local tourism objects are allowed to continue operating during the ban on going home as a government effort to balance the economic situation.

“So we are looking for the optimum point. Optimum Pareto. So don’t let one of them be good, but the goodness will erode the others. Thus we hope that the economic pulse will continue to pulsate,” he concluded. [antaranews/photo special]
