SINGAPORE, has banned travelers with a travel history to Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, from entering the country. The banned countries are considered high risk for now as they are currently seeing another outbreak of the highly contagious virus.
The ban applies to travelers who have been to any of the four countries in the past 14 days. Previously, travelers who had a history of travel to these countries during the last 14 days since departure to Singapore were only required to undergo 14 days of quarantine at special COVID-19 facilities.
Thus quoted from the Times of India. Singapore has also revised its rules for travelers with a travel history to Thailand, and travelers will be given a 14-day stay at home notice if they have been to Thailand during the past 14 days.
It will become mandatory and unlike before, one cannot opt out of the same. The ban was triggered by the sharp increase in the number of COVID cases in these countries. Singapore has also announced a reduction in the capacity of large independent malls and shops to curb the COVID-19 outbreak. An odd-even entry rule will also apply to malls that attract more people.
