PEOPLE WHO ENTER JABODETABEK RECOMMENDED BE TESTED FOR COVID-19

THE Ministry of Transportation has proposed that people entering the Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi) area are required to take a COVID-19 test organized by the Government.

According to the Director General of Land Transportation Budi Setiyadi, I suggested that to carry out testing for private vehicles and motorbikes that will enter Jakarta. The traveler who comes from the Lampung region will carry out a rapid antigen test around the Bakauheni Port. However, Transportation Ministry is also still considering the implementation of the Antigen test in a number of rest areas before entering the Bakauheni area.

‘Furthermore, people who use two-wheeled vehicles who will enter Jabodetabek from the Central Java and West Java regions will have a rapid test around Karawang, namely at the Balonggandu Weigh Bridge, then the Tegalgubug Susukan Post from Palimanan to Jatibarang, and around Indramayu towards Jatibarang,” he said.

Budi Setiyadi explained, as for people who use four-wheeled vehicles, a rapid test will be carried out along the toll roads from East Java to West Java as many as 21 locations, consisting of 13 locations in the rest area and 5 locations at the main toll gate. Then from the direction of Merak to Jakarta, 2 rapid test locations are provided.

He added that the Ministry of Transportation was finalizing to determine the location and technical implementation. So that people who will return to Jakarta have become mandatory, and are also in line with the Covid-19 Task Force Circular and the Minister of Transportation Regulation.
