TOURISM players in the Island of the Gods ask that Work From Bali (WFB) be realized in order to encourage economic recovery.
According to the Chairman of the Bali Tourism Board (BTB) Ida Bagus Agung Partha Adnyana in official press release, said one of the supports that will encourage economic movement is the Work From Bali program from ministries, state agencies, non-ministerial state institutions, and State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).
Moreover, it has been a year since the Balinese people have been training to be friendly with the COVID-19 pandemic, and have implemented strict health protocols.
“Training and simulation of the implementation of activities that adhere to Cleanliness, Health, Safety, Environment Sustainability (CHSE) have been repeatedly carried out. In other words, Balinese people are ready to do activities while making friends with the COVID-19 pandemic,” he said.
In addition, the COVID-19 vaccination program in Bali has also been carried out massively. Vaccination has been carried out to all levels of society as an effort to form herd immunity.
He explained that the readiness of the community has been shown by starting to hold a number of Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition (MICE) activities. The number of participants is limited, and the capacity continues to be added. Until now everything has been going well and fine.
“In the end, the efforts of the Balinese people must be supported by the government. The support no longer emphasizes the provision of direct subsidies. But, support should boost productivity in business,” he noted.
Based on the data, there are 13 state institutions, 30 ministries, 28 non-ministerial state institutions, and 114 State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) in Indonesia. If each of them holds activities in Bali, it will greatly help stimulate economic movement in Bali.
“Such as venue activities, professional conference organizers, event organizers, travel, and also Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) will be moved, if this program runs soon, thousands of workers in Bali will be saved. Because, this Work From Bali program can be held in all districts and cities. centered in Badung and Denpasar.
“For that, we encourage the central government to immediately realize the Work From Bali program. Given that the economic movement in Bali has not been massive so far,” Partha concluded. [photo special]
