PT Taman Wisata Candi (TWC) Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko signed a collaboration with the Ministry of State Secretariat for the use of the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) in Jakarta.
“Through this signing, as of July 1, 2021, TMII will be managed by PT TWC as a utilization cooperation partner with a period of 25 years,” said PT TWC Borobudur President Director Prambanan and Ratu Boko, Edy Setijono in Sleman, Yogyakarta Special Region, Thursday (7/1).
The signing was carried out by Secretary of the Ministry of State Secretary Setya Utama and President Director of PT TWC Edy Setijono, witnessed directly by Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Deputy Minister of BUMN II Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, and representatives from the Directorate General of State Assets of the Ministry of Finance, as well as the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency.
“The existence of TMII is needed to preserve Indonesia’s original culture and values as well as build the nation’s character with the spirit of unity with diversity. Through cooperation in the use of TMII, it is hoped that an Indonesian landmark will be created that will also optimize global tourists later,” said Edy.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of SOE II Kartika Wirjoatmodjo said PT TWC as a heritage destination management will transform TMII into Indonesia Opera which continues to promote Indonesian cultural diversity, by displaying a more contemporary, relevant, and inspiring side.
Meanwhile, Kemensetneg hopes that under the management of PT TWC, TMII will change for the better and can be a reflection of the beauty and diversity of culture in Indonesia.
