PT ANGKASA Pura II (AP II) noted that passenger movements at Soekarno-Hatta Airport experienced a decline in passengers by around 70% every day at the Java-Bali Emergency implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM).
According to the President Director of AP II, Muhammad Awaluddin, cumulatively, the number of passenger movements in all airports managed by AP II has decreased by an average of 75% per day during the Emergency PPKM period.
“Airplane passengers who fly during the Emergency PPKM period are indeed only those who have urgent needs,” said Awaluddin in a press release, Sunday (7/11).
He added that the health protocol for airplane passengers is quite strict, so those who travel only have urgent needs. At airports managed by AP II, the application of the Minister of Transportation Circular Letter No. 45/2021 in the middle of the Java-Bali Emergency PPKM went smoothly and was able to reduce mobility.
“This can be seen from the number of passenger movements that have fallen by 75%. As is known, in the middle of the Java-Bali Emergency PPKM, prospective airplane passengers must show a vaccination card and PCR test whose samples are taken a maximum of 2×24 hours before departure, for those with the aim of going to/from Java and Bali,” he concluded.
