INDONESIA’S Government has decided to extend the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) Level 4 until August 2, 2021. The following are the operational rules for restaurants and places to eat.
The extension of PPKM Level-4 was conveyed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Merdeka Palace through the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube channel, Sunday (7/25) saying that it takes into account health aspects, economic aspects, and social dynamics. I have decided to continue implementing PPKM Level-4 from 26 July to 2 August 2021.
However, the government will make several adjustments related to community activities and mobility which will be carried out in stages with more careful implementation.
With the extension of PPKM, the Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian issued an Instruction from the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) regarding PPKM Level-4 and Level-3 Java and Bali.
In the Ministry of Home Affairs, it is written that the implementation of eating and drinking activities in public places, such as food stalls, street vendors, and hawker stalls is allowed to be opened by implementing strict health protocols until 20.00 local time.
“Maximum diners eat at the place of 3 people and a maximum meal time of 20 minutes,” wrote the regulation in the Ministry of Home Affairs. Next, closed restaurants or restaurants and cafes, both in separate locations and in shopping centers, only accept delivery or take away and do not accept dine-in.
