INDEED, at this time Bali still has not opened its borders to foreign tourists. Nevertheless, the Bali Government has prepared a standard operating procedure (SOP) for accepting foreign tourists if they are able to vacation on the Island of the Gods.

According to the Deputy Governor of Bali, Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati (Cok Ace) in the World Tourism Day Bali Series Online Talk Show entitled ‘Reviewing Bali Hospitality Industry in the Gate Opening’, Tuesday (7/27) said, Bali has prepared a SOP for accepting foreign tourists. Starting from arrival at the airport, hotel, tourist destination, to the country of origin.

“Furthermore, currently Bali has prepared 19 quarantine hotels for foreign nationals spread across three green zones, namely Sanur, Ubud and Nusa Dua. Hotels with full quarantine requirements, according to recommendations from the Denpasar Class I KKP (Port Health Office),” said Cok Ace.

Continuing to try to get Bali to accept foreign tourists again, Cok Ace said that Bali Government was continuing to approach the central government to approve Bali tourism activities for foreign tourists. This is what we are trying to do. The governor, myself, the entire ranks of the Tourism Office, and all of us unitedly plead with the center for the Bali border to be open.

If it is still not possible to accept foreign tourists, Cok Ace requests that Bali be given approval to accept international landings for essential business flights.

Starting from the scenario tourists will land at Ngurah Rai, what documents are needed, what are the entry requirements, handling at the airport, the SOP has been prepared including disciplined and supervised health protocols.
