RT-PCR COSTS DROP, AP I OPTISMISTIC FLIGHT TRAFFIC INCREASES SLOWLY

PT ANGKASA Pura (AP) I welcomes the Government’s policy to reduce the cost of RT-PCR issued through Circular Letter Number: HK.02.02/I/2845/2021 concerning the Highest Tariff Limit for Reserve Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) Examination, where it is stated that the highest tariff limit for RT-PCR examinations in Java and Bali is IDR495,000 and RT-PCR examinations outside Java and Bali are IDR525,000.

According to the President Director of PT Angkasa Pura I, Faik Fahmi, said we really welcome the Government’s policy regarding reducing the cost of RT-PCR. Besides being able to help increase the number of COVID-19 tests so that COVID-19 transmission can be more controlled, the decrease in the cost of RT-PCR will also open hope that a more controlled pandemic will increase people’s confidence to travel by air so that flight traffic can slowly increase.

“In accordance with the policy, the cost of RT-PCR at Angkasa Pura I airports that have RT-PCR test services has been lowered. The cost of RT-PCR at Angkasa Pura I airports on the islands of Java and Bali is IDR495,000, while the cost of RT-PCR at airports outside Java and Bali is IDR525,000.

He explained, as for Angkasa Pura I airports on the islands of Java and Bali that have RT-PCR test services, namely Juanda Airport Surabaya, Yogyakarta International Airport – Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta Adisutjipto Airport, General Ahmad Yani Airport Semarang, and I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Bali. ;
