The trial of using the IATA Travel Pass will be carried out from August 30 to September 13, 2021.
According to the President Director of Garuda Indonesia, Irfan Setiaputra, said in the early stages of using the IATA Travel Pass, it will be applied to flights GA874/GA875 for the Jakarta-Haneda round trip route. The IATA Travel Pass is a digital-based application that allows users to store and manage COVID-19 test or vaccine certification results easily and safely.
Through the IATA Travel Pass, Garuda Indonesia service users can more easily obtain information regarding COVID-19 document requirements for destination destinations, including information on the location of accredited COVID-19 testing laboratories. The application also allows service users to have a digital passport to manage the required travel documents.
Through this trial, Garuda Indonesia became the first airline in Indonesia to test the IATA Travel Pass application for air service users to manage digital COVID-19 health credential documents in accordance with the requirements set by the government, especially for those who will be traveling by air. international.
Irfan added that the implementation of the IATA Travel Pass trial has an important meaning in preparing airlines and the aviation industry when various countries are gradually easing regional restrictions.
