THE CHALLENGING conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic do not seem to dampen the enthusiasm of creative players to continue to be creative. This is shown by one of Indonesia’s proud local brands, Erigo, who succeeded in bringing the nation’s name to the New York Fashion Week event.
Starting as a small brand that started as an apartment in the city of Depok, Erigo managed to become one of the Mecca of clothing trends in the country. Now, Erigo is ready to penetrate the international market.
“For two weeks, we will be in New York and hopefully our steps can inspire local brand friends in the midst of the pandemic storm,” said Muhammad Sadad, CEO & Founder of Erigo during a live Instagram broadcast with the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, Tuesday (8/31).
On the same occasion, Sandiaga asked the support of all Indonesian people for Erigo’s success at the New York Fashion Week event. Erigo has proven his hard work and enthusiasm to penetrate the international market. “New York Fashion Week is a kind of olympiad for fashion products. We hope this will be the beginning of international market penetration for Erigo,” said Sandiaga.
Collaborating with celebrities and influencers such as Gading Martin, Luna Maya, Enzy Storia, Febby Rastanty, Denny Sumargo, Alika Islamadina, Uus, Arief Muhammad, Ayla Dimitri, and Den Dimas, Erigo is ready to enliven New York Fashion Week the Spring/Summer 2022 Show Erigo will feature the Erigo X line which was exclusively created for the first time at this show. Erigo itself became the first local brand for the mens wear category to appear at New York Fashion Week.
The inaugural Erigo X collection was launched in the form of a capsule collection consisting of 16 looks. Muhammad Sadad hopes that the clothes that are launched can be used by all groups, races, genders, and various body shapes.
At New York Fashion Week the Show Spring/Summer 2022, Erigo launched its inaugural runway collection with the theme of fashion meets function, with elements of a neonic color palette such as orange tiger, black beauty, lemon chrome, teal blue, raspberry, and lime green that are certainly not uncommon.
