EXPLORE DESTINATIONS IN INCHEON CITY WITH FEEL THE RHYTHM OF KOREA VIDEO

THE KOREA Tourism Organization (KTO) invites people to explore the city of Incheon through the Feel the Rhythm of Korea video series. They start from Incheon International Airport which is used as the main entrance for some tourists to the area. Then proceed to several tourist sites that must be visited while in the city of Incheon.

Through this video, KTO will provide an overview of tourist attractions in the area. Here are the places that tourists can explore in the city of Incheon:

1. Ganghwa Anglican Church
Built in November 1900, the Ganghwa Anglican church has maintained its authenticity. This church is the first church built in the traditional hanok style. While the interior mostly features western-style elements, the exterior looks like one of a royal palace building or even a Buddhist temple.

2. Joyangbangjik Cafe
After visiting the church, tourists can visit the Joyangbangjik cafe as a place to relax. Located in a renovated former weaving factory, this cafe serves a variety of coffee and non-coffee drinks.

3. Incheon Art Platform
Opened in September 2009, this place is a cultural space that presents various exhibitions and performing arts programs. The Incheon Art Platform is located in the vicinity of Haean-dong, home to many heritage buildings built after the opening of the port in 1883, most of them built in the 1930s and 40s.

The entire complex is also filled with unique statues. Thanks to this unique style, the area has become the filming location for many Korean dramas such as “Descendants of the Sun (2016)” and “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (2016)”.

4. Wolmido Islands Playground
Wolmido Island is a playground that has many amusement parks and recreational facilities, including Wolmi Theme Park, MyLand, Wolmi Land, and Beach Land. The park’s most popular rides are the Viking boat and the Disco Pang-Pang ride.

Visitors can enjoy the view of this playground by walking along the 600-meter Wolmi cultural road, by riding the Wolmi Seatrain monorail. The monorail also offers beautiful sea views. In addition, there are many cafes and restaurants serving fresh seafood with a view of the ocean inside.

5. Songdo Central Park
Located in the middle of skyscrapers, this place has a unique architecture in the form of a garden like the Tri-Bowl. This Park also has a lake in it whose water is taken from the sea water around it.

There are many walking trails throughout the park to enjoy the surrounding scenery, from hanok villages to hotels, restaurants, and other amenities. One of the fun activities that visitors do at Songdo Central Park is a water taxi.

Meanwhile, another fun water activity is being able to enjoy the surroundings by renting a transparent canoe or kayak. At sunset, visitors can also try the moon boat (moon boat). [sources/KTO/photo special]
