THE FOOD & HOTEL INDONESIA EXHIBITION WILL BE HELD VIRTUAL ON SEPT 21-24

THE BIANNUAL Food & Hotel Indonesia (FHI) exhibition was held again, this time carried out virtually by carrying the concept of a virtual hub on 21-24 September 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Accoring to Juanita Soerakoesoemah, Event Director of FHI VirtualHub 2021, said the exhibition offers new experiences, opens up new opportunities, and benefits for consumers and business people in the hospitality and F&B fields.

“This event is a solution to the large-scale physical activity restrictions currently being implemented in Indonesia. VirtualHub is a business networking platform that connects exhibitors directly with consumers or trade buyers efficiently in the midst of the current pandemic,” Juanita said in a statement on Thursday (9/9).

FHI VirtualHub 2021 offers a Virtual Business Matching Program facility, which is a feature with artificial intelligence (AI) technology that presents accurate recommendations based on data analysis and visitor interests so as to be able to provide the desired exhibitor recommendations.

Through the Virtual Business Matching Program, registered visitors can give their preferences to find the desired exhibitor. After being confirmed by the system and meeting schedule agreements, visitors can make video calls or send private messages.

“Not only online business meetings, FHI VirtualHub 2021 also offers a Hospitality Program, F&B Hub Week as a comprehensive forum for business people in the industry to interact together, share ideas, trends, and knowledge of the hospitality and F&B business,” Juanita added.

Association of Indonesia Specialty Tea (AISTea), Swiss Education Group, Indonesia Pastry Alliance (IPA), Indonesia Sommelier Association (ISA), Association of Culinary Professionals (ACP), Indonesia Packaging Federation (IPF), Specialty Coffee Association of Indonesia (SCAI) confirmed to be present as a performer.

FHI VirtualHub 2021 also provides a digital showroom supported by Saladplate Indonesia, which features a digital product catalog that can be accessed 24/7.

This feature can be a gateway for business owners, retailers and professionals to source more than 150 products, technologies and services in the hospitality and F&B industry. In addition, it can also open up opportunities for local businesses to expand their product market globally or find new business partners.

This time, FHI VirtualHub 2021 also presents Saladplate Indonesia, a Business to Business (B2B) market place specifically for hospitality and F&B products. The web-based platform is expected to be a breakthrough for local suppliers to showcase their products so that they can reach potential buyers from a wider global market.

To date, more than 50 companies or exhibitors have joined the exhibition held by PT Pamerindo Indonesia. [antaranews]
