THE INDONESIAN government has extended the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) Level 2-4 until September 20, 2021. A number of restrictions have been imposed as long as the policy is in effect, one of which is related to international travel.
According to the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, individuals who want to enter Indonesia must be vaccinated, free from COVID-19 as evidenced by the PCR test results, and undergo quarantine.
“Tightening the requirements for international travel from abroad requires full vaccination, PCR 3 times, quarantine for 8 days,” Luhut said at a press conference, Monday (9/13) night.
The PCR was carried out before the traveler left for Indonesia. Then, shortly after arriving in Indonesia, and when the quarantine period was almost over. Travelers who are declared negative for COVID-19 from the results of the PCR test after undergoing a quarantine period are allowed to go to their respective destinations.
In addition, restrictions are also placed on the entrance of international travel. Luhut said flights from abroad only landed through Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang, Banten, and Sam Ratulangi Airport in Manado, North Sulawesi.
