IHG HOTELS & Resorts and PT Hotel Dago Pakar are expanding their partnership in Indonesia by presenting the second hotel of this partnership, Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar following the success of InterContinental Bandung Dago Pakar.
This statement coincides with World Tourism Day to show that the tourism industry continues to survive, and when tourism recovers, it will be able to increase prosperity and promote inclusive growth. Scheduled to open in 2024, the 275-room Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar will be located in the prestigious Dago neighborhood, in the northern area of Bandung.
According to Purnawan Suriadi, Director, PT Hotel Dago Pakar said we want to make Dago Pakar a must-visit destination, bringing a deeper understanding of our rich culture and heritage that combines European cultural influences from the colonial past as well as a dynamic young creative culture and forge meaningful relationships between our guests, hotels and communities.
“Hotel Indigo’s design philosophy, which uses story elements to bring the environment within the hotel to life while also providing a gateway to inspiring and culturally rich locations, is in line with our vision for this property,” he said.
Purnawan Suriadi explained that we have a strong partnership with IHG and are very pleased with the continued success of presenting InterContinental Bandung Dago Pakar despite the pandemic. Since opening in 2015, the hotel has transformed the surrounding area into a popular luxury destination for both business and leisure travelers.

The Hotel Indigo portfolio is expanding in Indonesia along with Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach and three other properties currently under construction in Bintan and Jakarta.
“Currently, IHG has 24 hotels in Indonesia, Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar joins the IHG network in the country which includes 13 hotels with 2,520 rooms across five portfolio brands. With a growing middle class and large millennial population, we see Indonesia as a key long-term market for our portfolio,” said Serena Lim.
She added that located in a location formerly known as “Bukit Cinta”, 700 meters above sea level, Dago Pakar is a rich nature reserve surrounded by tea plantations, pristine forests and natural waterfalls, and offers panoramic views of the city. A 30-minute drive to Bandung International Airport, this hotel is located near the Juanda Forest Park, a vast conservation area and botanical garden with more than 2,500 species of rare plants and animals.
