He said that during the COVID-19 pandemic, Indonesia was one of the first countries to provide assistance in handling the pandemic to China, and vice versa.
When Indonesia was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, China also immediately provided medical equipment assistance, shared experiences in diagnosis, treatment, prevention and control, and also collaborated in research and development and vaccine production.
“The Chinese Consulate General in Denpasar has also always paid attention to the pandemic situation in Indonesia, especially in Bali, NTB and NTT, and has donated several waves of medical equipment and basic necessities to government agencies, mass media, universities, religious organizations and local communities in three areas. province,” he said.
For this reason, Zhu said China would deepen cooperation in handling the pandemic and economic recovery with Indonesia in the post-pandemic period, especially in its consular areas.
In addition, the cooperation between China and Indonesia in the fields of trade and investment also continues to be improved. In the first half of 2021, the trade value of the two parties reached US$53.57 billion with a growth of more than 50%, China’s direct investment in Indonesia reached US$1.11 billion with a growth of almost 20%.
