10,131 HOTELS & RESTOS HAVE IMPLEMENTED THE PEDULILINDUNGI APPLICATION

TO DATE, around 10,131 hotels and restaurants under the organization have implemented the QR code PeduliLindungi as an electronic tracking system in an effort to prevent COVID-19 and ensure the safety of visitors.

According to the Chairman of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI), Hariyadi Sukamdani, Wednesday (9/29) said from our records, we have implemented QR codes for 10,131-business units, both hotels and restaurants. The number will increase again as QR codes for hotels and restaurants are added from the Ministry of Health to be registered in the Care Protect system.

Hariyadi said the queue to register the QR code for business units was quite long. Since the beginning, PHRI has been ready to adapt to new habits, both from health protocols and adaptation to the use of technology, for the prevention of COVID-19.

“From the beginning, we were very concerned about the preparation of tourism to be able to run safely. We started on March 2, the first case appeared, on March 5 we issued a guide, so that the hotel and restaurant business sector have the earliest health protocol guidelines,” he said.

He explained that PHRI continues to coordinate with the Ministry of Health regarding the guidelines for health protocols in hotels and restaurants which have been passed through several revisions. Finally, the health protocol guidelines also coordinate with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy which produces Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environment Sustainability (CHSE) certification.
