THE ASSOCIATION of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo) will hold the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) exhibition on November 11-21 2021 which visitors may attend directly with strict health protocols.

According to the General Chairman of Gaikindo, Yohannes Nangoi said that they together with all members of Gaikindo hope that the exhibition by the end of the year can maximize the government’s program, namely encouraging car sales with incentives for Sales Tax on Government-Borrowed Luxury Goods (PPnBM DPT).

“We are very excited to go to GIIAS this November, to continue to encourage the achievement of the Indonesian automotive industry which has been reviving with the extension of PPnBM DPT, so with the presence of GIIAS, we hope to further increase people’s enthusiasm,” said Yohannes Nangoi in a press release on Tuesday (10/12).

Nangoi added that the annual exhibition would prioritize health protocols, after they received support and recommendations from the Indonesian Ministry of Industry and the local government.

“Public health is still the main priority, so Gaikindo will ensure that GIIAS runs with strict health protocols,” said Nangoi.

Gaikindo ensures that the exhibition will be attended by 24 brands of vehicles, including passenger and commercial cars including Audi, BMW, Daihatsu, DFSK, Hino, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu, KIA, Lexus, Mazda, MG, Mini, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Renault, Suzuki, Toyota, VW, and Wuling. GIIAS later,” said Rizwan Alamsjah, Chairman III and Chairman of the Gaikindo Exhibition Organizer.

Rizwan ensured that the vehicles present would carry the latest technology, including electric vehicles which were not only exhibited, but could be tried directly by visitors in the test drive area during GIIAS 2021.

“To witness GIIAS live, visitors and all parties present throughout the exhibition must meet several health protocols requirements set by the government. The entire program registration process is also carried out through the application, such as test drives, test rides, talk shows, and seminars.

“We believe automotive lovers will continue to support the implementation of GIIAS and the Indonesian automotive industry by attending GIIAS and carrying out the necessary procedures, to take care of each other and ensure that it is always safe and comfortable to go to GIIAS,” concluded Rizwan.
