NIA: 5 DAYS QUARANTINE BECOMES A CHALLENGE FOR AUSTRALIAN TOURISTS

THE OBLIGATION of foreign tourists to quarantine for five days upon arrival in Bali is a challenge in itself, one of which is for tourists from Australia.

This was revealed by the Deputy for Marketing of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Nia Niscaya during the Weekly Press Briefing, Monday (10/25) said that indeed the obstacle was the mandatory five-day quarantine. Some from Australia, for example, (who asked) can the quarantine be reduced to two days?

“The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has explained that the quarantine period is related to the incubation and inspection period. But in conclusion, the desire (to travel to Bali) is still high. People already want to go to Bali, but the quarantine considerations are still waiting, who knows, there is flexibility, because on the basis they have been vaccinated (COVID-19), before leaving they will be PCR, and when they arrive, they will be swab PCR,” said Nia Niscaya.

She added, I also understand that experts have their own considerations before making a decision on the quarantine period, and this is challenging compared to our competitors who freed quarantine (for foreign tourists). [traveltext.id]
