THE INDONESIAN Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy encourages managers of tourist destinations and recreational parks to be disciplined in implementing health protocols and the PeduliLindungi application ahead of the 2022 Christmas and New Year holidays as a preventive measure so that the next wave of COVID-19 does not occur.
According to the Deputy for Industry and Investment of the Tourism Ministry, Fadjar Hutomo during the Evaluation Meeting on the Use of Care to Protect Applications and the Implementation of Health Protocols in Tourism/Recreational Parks which were held online, Wednesday (10/27) explained, currently Indonesia has succeeded in controlling the spread of COVID-19 . This needs to be maintained in various ways and efforts so that there will not be another wave of COVID-19 as experienced by other countries.
“One of them is to remain disciplined in implementing strict health protocols coupled with the use of the PeduliLindungi application. Especially in the Naru holiday, don’t let this momentum trigger new cases. We appeal to each other to convince each other to take care of each other so that the pandemic is not sustainable, for that we need joint discipline,” he said.
Fadjar also explained that the use of the PeduliLindungi application is only a tool or tools for testing, tracing, and treatment. The main point is to remain committed to implementing health protocols by all parties, both the central government, local governments, associations, managers and visitors as well as all other elements.
“Control of health and economic growth, as in the case of opening a business, must be balanced like driving. When to step on the gas and when to step on the brakes,” he said.
The evaluation meeting was attended by representatives from Ministries/Institutions such as the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Home Affairs, Regional Governments, as well as several associations including PUTRI, PHRI, Recreational Park Managers, and Bar and Bar Club Managers in Jakarta, Bandung, and Surabaya.
Fadjar said, in the implementation of the implementation of the implementation of the health protocol and the use of the QR Code PeduliLindungi, it is necessary to carry out control/supervision to measure the commitment of business players in its implementation.
“It takes commitment from all elements, especially tourism business actors and being supervised by the regional government in the use of the PeduliLindungi application, which is expected to contain the spread of COVID-19. If there is no commitment, one of the worst consequences is that business activities will be closed again, which are currently running,” he concluded. [traveltext.id]
