THE GOTO digital platform now provides Gojek and Tokopedia account connection features for users of the two applications. The presence of this feature is a continuation of a number of GoTo initiatives that have been continuously designed to provide added value for all members of the ecosystem since it was first formed in the middle of this year.
According to Gojek’s VP of Corporate Communications, Audrey Petriny, Tuesday (11/2) said that following the establishment of GoTo, Gojek and Tokopedia had collaborated to provide the best experience for customers through various programs and initiatives. The presence of this account link feature is also our next step to continue to make our ecosystem the mainstay of the community in living their daily lives.
“Now, through the account connect feature, users who already have both applications can connect their Gojek account to a Tokopedia account to get additional benefits,” he said.
He explained that users of both applications can enjoy various benefits and conveniences, from utilizing payment facilities with GoPay and GoPayLater, activating GoPay Coins as a loyalty point system to replace TokoPoints on Tokopedia, equalizing loyalty status, and getting various attractive promos.
The Gojek and Tokopedia account connection features have been launched in stages since October. Starting November 1, all users of the two applications can enjoy this feature simply by pressing the account link banner on the front page of the Gojek and Tokopedia applications.
“This integration is expected to make shopping for daily necessities more efficient and at the same time help the national economic recovery,” said Tokopedia’s VP of Corporate Communications, Nuraini Razak.
Another advantage of the account connection feature is the availability of a GoPay Coins loyalty point system on Tokopedia which will be able to be used in the Gojek application in the future. The value of one GoPay Coin is equivalent to IDR1. Although it cannot be exchanged for cash, GoPay Coins can be exchanged in the form of discounts on shopping transactions on Tokopedia.
In addition, customers can now equalize their status in the loyalty program in the Gojek and Tokopedia applications.
Gojek has a GoClub loyalty program with four levels of membership, starting from the Citizen, Boss, skipper, to the Sultan’s level. Meanwhile, Tokopedia has a Tokopedia Rewards membership program consisting of Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond members.
If Gojek and Tokopedia users have different membership levels in the GoClub and Tokopedia loyalty programs, the user status will be equalized following the highest level in the application they have.
By equalizing the loyalty program status, users have the opportunity to increase the loyalty status in one of the accounts and maximize the privileges in it.
