LOCAL businessmen are increasingly interested in using jet aircraft rental services as an alternative to air transportation while traveling to several parts of Indonesia.
According to the Director of PT Indojet Sarana Aviasi, Stefanus Gandi, said during October 2021 alone, there have been rentals of up to 11 flights by domestic tourists. Flight traffic with jet aircraft tends to increase from the previous month’s average which only got eight bookings.
“The increase in jet aircraft rentals has indeed increased in the midst of the pandemic. Most of the tenants come from business people who need air transportation to support their business trips. The domestic market trend is indeed growing positively, there are many business people, only a few for vacations, most trips are made to Tambolaka and Labuan Bajo,” he said.
He explained that jet aircraft charterers feel more secure in using this service than usual commercial aircraft. Moreover, jet plane rental tends to be easy and practical. The advantages of this jet aircraft service were previously widely used by foreign operators.
Indojet, which is a national company, also took the opportunity and captured the domestic market. Previously, jet aircraft operators were controlled by companies based in the United States and Britain.
“In the past, foreign operators who controlled the market were based in the United States and England, we tried to equalize the position to seize the market,” Gandi remarked.
Indojet provides private jet rental services ranging from Hawker and Legacy types with a capacity of 6 passengers to 13 passengers with Jakarta-Bali PP rental prices starting from US$21,000. For now, the type that is mostly chosen is the capacity of 6 passengers. [bisnis.com/photo special]
