THE MANDALIKA Grand Prix Association (MGPA) revealed that the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit was the first international circuit in the world to be built in a tourism area.
According to MGPA’s Director of Strategy and Communication, Happy Harinto in Jakarta, Wednesday (11/3) said that building this circuit has certainly been carefully estimated and calculated, why should it be in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). Because we know that the Mandalika area is a very beautiful natural tourist destination and this might be the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit which is the first circuit in the world to be built in a tourism area.
“Mandalika tourist destination, he said, is a natural tourism destination, not a man-made tourist destination. Mandalika tourist destination presents the beauty of an extraordinary natural panorama. In addition, the construction of the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit is also fairly fast, almost 1 year and 3 months,” he said.
Harinto explained, we will try to continue to synergize with investors and local governments as well as other stakeholders so that the Mandalika area, especially in the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit area and its surroundings can be good and become a tourist destination. MGPA has synergized with the Central Lombok Regency Government and the NTB Provincial Government regarding the tourism sector.
“We expect the positive impact on the tourism sector, the multiplier effect must be strong for them. It can be said that by building this circuit, the support for tourism in Mandalika and NTB Province is also very high,” he concluded. [antaranews]
