ACTIVITIES for the Development of Cultural Arts Attractions in the Caldera Toba Nomadic Escape which was initiated by the Implementing Agency for the Lake Toba Authority (BPODT) as an effort to increase creativity and innovation of creative economy actors regarding cultural arts attractions.
According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno expressed his pride because in the Lake Toba area there are many cultural heritages that can be used to support tourism, one of which is traditional Batak music. In addition, there are also many great Batak artists who have succeeded in raising traditional Batak music to appear at national and international levels. Including the trainers for this activity, Martogi Sitohang and Martahan Sitohang.
“This is part of the pillars of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, namely ‘quick movement’, ‘geber’ joint movement, and ‘gaspol’ working on all potential employment opportunities. Because one of the attractions of the creative economy is music. And this traditional Batak music is very beautiful,” said Sandiaga Uno.
Minister Sandiaga also hopes that the cultural heritage of Batak traditional music will become a very potential attraction to increase tourist visits to The Caldera Nomadic Escape and to the Lake Toba Region.
