WINGS AIR OPENS NEW BANJARMASIN-MUARA TEWEH KATENG FLIGHTS ROUTE

WINGS Air, which is a member of the Lion Air Group, has inaugurated the 141st new destination city and a new route for the Banjarmasin-Muara Teweh flight.

Where, there was the inaugural flight from Syamsuddin Noor International Airport Banjarmasin in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (BDJ) to Haji Muhammad Sidik Airport, Trinsing, South Teweh, North Barito, Central Kalimantan (HMS), yesterday.

This flight, using ATR 72 aircraft with flight number IW-1398. The plane took off from Syamsuddin Noor Airport at 11.40 WITA (Central Indonesian Time, GMT+08) and landed at Haji Muhammad Sidik Airport at 11.50 WIT (West Indonesia Time, GMT+07).

On this inaugural flight schedule, the landing sign was carried out by spraying on the fuselage (water salute), traditional dances of the Pesisir and Inland Dayak.

Angkasa Pura I management also welcomed the arrival of the inaugural flight for the Muara Teweh (HMS)-Banjarmasin (BDJ) route recently at Syamsudin Noor International Airport Banjarmasin.

This ATR-72 type aircraft arrived at Syamsudin Noor International Airport carrying 26 pax, including the Regent of Muara Teweh on this inaugural flight.

“We are committed to facilitating the need for air transportation services through Syamsudin Noor International Airport by actively synergizing with relevant stakeholders,” said General Manager of Syamsudin Noor International Airport, Dony Subardono.

“On this occasion we positively welcome the new route that facilitates passengers to fly three times a week, namely Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with the aim of BDJ-HMS and HMS-BDJ,” he added.

The Wings Air IW-1319 aircraft that arrived at Syamsudin Noor International Airport at 14.51 WITA was greeted with a water salute on the apron.

“On this occasion, we also convey new routes through Syamsudin Noor International Airport not only to and from Muara Teweh, but also Batulicin, Bandung and Denpasar,” he said.

“These routes fly directly or direct flights, making it easier for service users to fly again comfortably. We cooperate with the Lion Group, we are also committed to realizing safe travel by taking measures according to health protocols,” added Dony.

Separately, in a release, Corporate Communications Strategic of Lion Air Group, Danang Mandala Prihantoro, explained that Wings Air is optimistic that the availability of Wings Air flight routes will accommodate the needs of prospective passengers, especially people in North Barito Regency and its surroundings.

The inaugural flight from Haji Muhammad Sidik Airport to Syamsuddin Noor Airport with flight number IW-1399. The plane took off at 12.10 WIB and arrived as scheduled at Syamsudin Noor Airport at 14.20 WITA.

“In the early stages, Wings Air will serve with a flight frequency of 3 (three) times a week every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Wings Air always evaluates the market, and will improve flight services if the demand trend increases. market needs,” Danang Mandala Priyanto said.

He explained that the special ticket fare for one flight (one way) on the Banjarmasin to Muara Teweh route starts from IDR517,500. The price of a one-way ticket for Muara Teweh-Banjarmasin starts from IDR438,500.

Operational flights on this route, placing Wings Air as the only airline serving domestic scheduled passenger flights at this time. In the future, route or network development will be carried out in stages.
