RI EXPO 2020 DUBAI PAVILION ATTRACTS HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF VISITORS

THE INDONESIAN (RI) Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, United Arab Emirates, has attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors for two months of its existence. Information obtained from the Indonesian Pavilion in Dubai, quoted on Saturday (12/04), for nine weeks they have been visited by around 362,000 people.

To date, the Indonesian Pavilion has held more than 120 business forums and exhibitions of more than 150 products made by local small and medium enterprises. The Indonesian Pavilion periodically holds various events until Expo 2020 Dubai ends on March 31, 2022.

Most recently, the Indonesian Pavilion also celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the United Arab Emirates, a form of cooperation and efforts to strengthen friendly relations between the two countries. The series of gold celebration events or the UAE’s Golden Jubilee was held at the Indonesia Pavilion on Thursday (2/12).

“We are very pleased to be able to participate in celebrating the 50th anniversary of the UAE at the Expo 2020 Dubai event. We hope that the well-established relationship will be further strengthened for the benefit of the two countries in the coming years,” said Commissioner General of the Indonesian Pavilion Didi Sumedi, who is also the Director General of National Export Development, Ministry of Trade.

On that day, the Indonesian Pavilion held a treasure hunt. Visitors were asked to look for 50 emblems containing the words “UAE 50th” which were distributed in the Indonesian Pavilion.

The emblem is distributed in three zones in the Indonesian Pavilion, namely the “Yesterday” zone, the “Today” zone and the “Future” zone, as well as the theater pavilion. Visitors who manage to find the emblem can take pictures at the locations provided in the Indonesian Pavilion area and get prizes.

In addition to holding treasure hunting events, the Indonesian Pavilion also held music, dance and special video shows to commemorate the historic day of the United Arab Emirates.

The video, which was shown in the theater and inside the stage, included congratulations from the Minister of Trade Muhammad Lutfi and the story of the friendship between the two countries. [antaranews]
