JANUARY 2022, VIETNAM AIRLINES WILL FLY TO 15 FOREIGN DESTINATIONS

VIETNAM Airlines announced it will open regular commercial flights to 15 international destinations. Starting in early January 2022, Vietnam Airlines has flown to a number of countries in Asia, Europe and the United States.

The Vietnamese government has approved the resumption of international flights on nine routes from January 1 and an additional six routes from January 26. Currently, the airline is waiting for the approval of the aviation authority to start selling tickets.

On January 1, Vietnam Airlines will start flying to Bangkok (Thailand), Beijing/Guangzhou (China), Phnom Penh (Cambodia), San Francisco or Los Angeles (USA), Seoul (South Korea), Singapore, Taipei (Taiwan), Tokyo (Japan) and Vientiane (Laos).

Additional flight routes for the next period include Frankfurt (Germany), Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Moscow (Russia), Paris (France), and Sydney (Australia). All travelers are required to follow health protocols based on government guidelines.

Vietnam’s Ministry of Health guidelines last week mentioned a number of requirements for travelers. They must have been fully vaccinated and those who have recovered from Covid-19 only need to self-isolate for three days in a centralized quarantine facility.

All arrivals, except children under two years, must be tested negative for Covid-19 using the PCR method within 72 hours before departure. Before planning a trip to the country, it’s a good idea to pay attention to regulations.

Vietnam closed the border and stopped international flights in March 2020. The government only allows citizens, foreign experts, investors, and high-skilled workers to enter Vietnam on special flights, quoted from the VN Express page, Friday (12/24). [sources/photo special]
