CITILINK IS CONSIDERED TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF SPORT TOURISM

INDONESIA’S Citilink airline previously received an award from the Ministry of Youth and Sports because it was considered to have played a role in supporting the development of sport tourism in the country through the “Citilink Healthy Living Series 2021” program.

The award, as in a written statement received in Jakarta, was handed over to the Deputy for Sport Cultivation at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Raden Isnanta to the Director of Operations at Citilink Erlangga Sakti on December 21, 2021 at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Office, Jakarta.

According to Isnanta, the award is a form of appreciation for a series of sports tourism development programs in five super-priority destinations held by Citilink which are considered to be involved in improving the tourism industry in the era of adapting to new habits (new normal).

“Many sporting events that we organize in Indonesian tourist destinations actually have a lot of enthusiasts, but due to limited access to locations such as planes and others, it makes it difficult for participants to participate,” he said.

He said, Citilink as an Indonesian airline also contributed by participating in the campaign for the program through the Healthy Living Series 2021 #DiIndonesiaAja #BarengCitilink whichhas been held in various super priority tourism destinations such as Mandalika, Borobudur and Bali.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports hopes that in the future Citilink with its flight routes can support the Ministry of Youth and Sports when organizing sports events in Indonesia.

“It is hoped that in the future the cooperation between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Citilink can be more synergistic, especially in the development of tourism sports,” Isnanta said.

Meanwhile Director of Operations Citilink Erlangga Sakti stated that his party felt compelled to develop more sports, because sport is one of the factors that can be developed and collaborated with our company engaged in the aviation sector.

Citilink has a “Citilink Community” community as a forum for Citilink customers who have an interest in sports. Currently Citillink Community comes with various sports options, namely Cycling (CitiCyclink), Golf (CitiGolf), Diving (CitiDivink), Surfing (CitiSurfink) and Hanging (CitiFly).

He hopes that Citilink can cooperate better with the Ministry of Youth and Sports to develop various tourism sports activities. [antaranews/photo special]
