LATEST QUARANTINE FOR INDONESIAN CITIZENS TRAVELING OVERSEAS

THE FOLLOWING are the latest quarantine provisions for Indonesian citizens traveling abroad and a list of quarantine locations. The provisions and a list of quarantine locations are contained in the Decree of the Task Force for Handling COVID-19 in letter Number 1 of 2022 concerning Entry points, Quarantine Places, and RT-PCR Obligations for Indonesian Citizens Traveling Overseas.

The decree was issued on Saturday (1/1/2022) by the Head of the Task Force for Handling COVID-19, Lt. Gen. Suharyanto, S.Sos., M.M in Jakarta. This decision will come into effect on the date of signing until December 31, 2022, with the provision that it will be corrected if there are errors in the future.

If a Government Employee is not willing to quarantine at a location that has been determined by the National/Regional COVI-19 Task Force, quarantine must be carried out at a centralized Quarantine Hotel. For more details, see the following information based on the Decree of the COVID-19 Task Force Number 1 of 2022:

A. Establishing entry points to the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia for Indonesian citizens (WNI) who travel abroad through:

1. Airports: Soekarno Hatta, Banten, Juanda, East Java; and Sam Ratulangi, North Sulawesi.
2. Seaports: Batam, Riau Islands, Tanjung Pinang, Riau Islands; and Nunukan, North Kalimantan.
3. Posts across Borders: Aruk, West Kalimantan, Entikong, West Kalimantan; and Motaain, East Nusa Tenggara.

B. Indonesian Citizens Traveling Overseas are obligated to quarantine with the following conditions:
1. Quarantine with a period of 14 x 24 hours from the country/region of origin of arrival with the following criteria: Has confirmed community transmission of the new variant of SARS-CoV-2 B.1.1.529, Geographically adjacent to the country of transmission of the community of cases of the new variant of SARS-CoV- 2 B.1.1.529; and the number of confirmed cases of SARS-CoV-2 B.1.1.529 is more than 10,000 cases.
2. Quarantine with a period of 10 x 24 hours from the country/region of origin of arrival other than countries that meet the criteria.

C. Overseas Travelers quarantine in a centralized quarantine accommodation whose services include lodging, transportation, meals, and RT-PCR costs.

D. Determine quarantine locations for each entry point for foreign travel as follows:
1. DKI Jakarta: Pademangan Athlete House; RSDC Wisma Athlet Kemayoran; Cilincing Nagrak Flats; Manggara Grass Market Flat.
2. Surabaya, East Java: Surabaya Embarkation Hajj Dormitory; East Java Education Quality Assurance Institute (LPMP); Education and Training Center (Badiklat) Ministry of Religion Surabaya; Hotel Vini Vidi Vici; Grand Park Hotel Surabaya; Hotel Sahid, Hotel 88 Embong Malang, Hotel BeSS Mansion; Hotel Zest Jemursari; Hotel Bisanta Bidakara; Hotel Fave Hotel Rungkut; Hotels Lifestyle Hotels; Hotel Delta Sinar Mayang Sidoarjo; Hotel Zoom Jemursari; Hotel 88 Kedungsari; Hotel 88 Embong Kenongo; City Station Pop Hotel; Hotel Pop Gubeng; Hotel Cleo Jemursari.
3. Manado, North Sulawesi: Tuminting Hajj Dormitory and Maumbi Education and Training Center.
4. Batam, Riau Islands: BP Batam Flats; Batam City Government Flats; Putra Jaya Flats; Hajj Dormitory; Shelter Post Service Placement and Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (P4TKI).
5. Tanjung Pinang, Riau Islands: Tanjung Pinang Trauma Center (RTPC) shelter and Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Agency (BP2MI) Shelter.
. Nunukan, North Kalimantan: Nunukan Regional Government Flats.
7. Entikong, West Kalimantan: Entikong International Freight Terminal (TBI); Indonesian Job Training Unit (ULKI); Entikong Port Health Office (KKP) building.
8. Aruk, West Kalimantan: Regional Personnel Agency (BKD) Training Building; Sambas City Hajj Dormitory; Wisma Cross Border Post (PLBN) Aruk; Brimob Dormitory.
9. Motaain, East Nusa Tenggara: Flats Yonif RK 744/SYB; or

10. Other quarantine accommodation places determined by the Head of the Regional COVID-19 Handling Task Force based on recommendations from the COVID-19 Handling Task Force.

E. Provisions for Indonesian Citizens of Overseas Traveling who can use a centralized quarantine place are as follows: (1). Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) who return to Indonesia to stay at least 14 days in Indonesia; (2). Students/Students who return to Indonesia after completing education or carrying out study assignments abroad; (3). Government employees who return to Indonesia after carrying out official trips abroad; and (4). Indonesian representatives in international competitions or festivals. [antaranews/photo special]
