HALIM Perdanakusuma Airport will be temporarily closed in the context of revitalization. According to the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Transportation, Adita Irawati, civil or commercial aircraft flights currently operating at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport will be transferred to a number of other airports.
“Operations will be moved to Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Pondok Cabe Airport, and Budiarto Curug Airport. Citilink is one of the airlines that has flight departures from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport,” he said.
Regarding the transfer of flight routes from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport to other airports, Citilink is still coordinating further, both internally and with relevant stakeholders.
“Regarding the information circulating regarding the closure of Jakarta’s Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, it can be conveyed that currently Citilink continues to coordinate further internally and with local stakeholders regarding information on the planned closure of Jakarta’s Halim Perdanakusuma Airport,” said VP Corporate Secretary & CSR PT Citilink Indonesia, Diah Suryani.
Initially, it was said that the closure of the airport would take place on January 1. However, as of Sunday (1/02) afternoon, there are still flight activities at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.

“The operational shift of civil aircraft is carried out after the issuance of the said Presidential Regulation,” he said.

These aspects include administration, air transportation, airports, flight navigation, aviation security, as well as airworthiness and aircraft operations.
“Later on, scheduled and unscheduled flights and cargo using jet aircraft will move to Soekarno Hatta Airport, while for non-jet aircraft operations (propeller) will be moved to Pondok Cabe Airport,” he concluded. [kompas.com/photo special]
