DIGITIZATION DRIVES INVESTMENT AND TOURISM EXPOSURE IN THE REGION

DIGITIZATION also has a role in encouraging tourism investment and exposure as well as branding local products in the region.

According to the Regent of Karanganyar, Central Java, Juliyatmono, said digitalization is very important for tourism, branding local products, and investing. This requires cooperation with many parties, including technology personnel,” said Juliyatmono in an online discussion with MarkPlus, Friday (1/21).

Furthermore, he added that his party was tidying up the digital market data collection for local Karanganyar products which had even penetrated the export market. He hopes that this step can reach a wider market.

In the tourism sector, Juliyatmono admits that investment in this sector is growing quite high. For example, glamping, then the places that come into contact with agro-tourism, culinary in the middle of the rice fields, that’s a lot (interest and investment).

“In addition, homestays are also growing rapidly. People get results, and each house is rented out to visitors from anywhere. This is efficient, in addition to earning profit for the community, travelers can also experience local tourism,” he said.

Juliyatmono added that digitalization is also the key in realizing the Karanganyar Life Center Nusantara program in 2030. We will continue to encourage this; we will assemble it and we will realize it slowly towards 2030. The master plan and blueprint already exist, including collaboration and cooperation.

“We will continue to do this, including building a community culture to be ready to accept anyone’s presence without losing our identity in Karanganyar, which is friendly and polite to anyone, so that (travelers) are happy and continue to come to Karanganyar, and continue to explore Karanganyar,” he added.

On the other hand, Bangkalan Regent, East Java R. Abdul Latif Amin Imron said, we are open to investments that are very close to the community, such as agriculture and plantations, as well as ways to improve the community-based economic sector. [antaranews/photo special]
