FOREIGN TOURISTS ARE ALLOWED TO VISIT BALI & RIAU WITH CONDITIONS

THE GOVERNMENT of the Republic of Indonesia has decided to lift restrictions on the entry of foreign tourists to Bali and the Riau Islands. Previously, only 19 countries could be granted a tourist visa to visit Bali and Riau Islands.

According to the Sub-Coordinator of Public Relations of the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Achmad Nur Saleh, in Jakarta, Monday (1/31) said this was taking into account the conditions for handling COVID-19 in these countries. Now travelers from all over the world can enjoy the natural beauty of Bali and the Riau Islands.

He said the immigration provisions for tourist visits to Bali and Riau Islands require foreign nationals to have a visit visa. Foreign travelers must apply for a B211A tourist visit visa with a travel company guarantor, not an individual.

In addition to being required to have a passport and visa, said Achmad, foreigners who will travel in Bali and Riau Islands are required to follow the arrival protocol for international travelers as stipulated in the Circular Letter of the Head of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force Number 2 of 2022.

Foreign tourists are required to have a complete dose of COVID-19 vaccination certificate. Then, the results of the RT-PCR Test, proof of ownership of health insurance with an insured value of US$100,000. Furthermore, proof of accommodation payment confirmation while in Bali.

“Keep in mind, they are also required to undergo quarantine in accordance with the provisions of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force, based on the provisions of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force, the entrance for arrivals for foreign tourists is only allowed through two airports, namely, Bali and the Riau Islands,” Achmad noted.

Achmad appealed to foreign tourist guarantors to comply with applicable immigration rules and health protocols. The Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights will continue to support the recovery of Indonesian tourism through the issuance of tourist visit visas.
