THE HEAD of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force Lt. Gen. Suharyanto confirmed the findings of a quarantine fraud blindspot at the airport. The findings were obtained after an evaluation by the Police and the airport.
“Indeed, there are places (at the airport) that we cannot enter, for example from exiting the plane door to entering the building. That is indeed a place that no one can enter there (because) it is related to flight security and safety,” said Suharyanto in a virtual press statement, Thursday (2/03).
Based on the results of the investigation carried out by the National Police Headquarters, he said, a point was found that allowed individuals to play. For example, taking passengers or having an agreement so they don’t go through the immigration gate.
“They didn’t go through the officers’ doors; they were taken straight away. So, they didn’t (carry out) quarantine,” explained Suharyanto.
He admitted that the condition had spread in the community, so it was called a quarantine game. Therefore, supervision will be tightened with the TNI-Polri.
“We already know these points, in the future we will continue to work closely with the National Police Headquarters, Polda Metro Jaya to close these points. So, that starting from landing no party can violate the quarantine rules that have been set and we agree together,” he concluded. [medcom.id/photo special]
