MINISTRY WILL IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF THE WARM UP VACATION PROGRAM IN BALI

THE MINISTRY of Tourism and Creative Economy continues to improve the quality of the warm up vacation program in welcoming Overseas Travelers (PPLN) who come to Indonesia via direct flights to Bali.

The Bali warm up vacation program is an innovation that is specifically designed for tourists or PPLN who have just come to Bali so that they can undergo quarantine in a hotel with a bubble system, which allows a person to be active not only in the room, but can carry out various activities in the bubble area. specially prepared by the hotel manager.

This warm up vacation program aims to make PPLN not feel like they are undergoing quarantine in Bali, but rather feel they are warming up to prepare for their vacation in Bali, of course, while still prioritizing the precautionary principle in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

According to the Deputy for Marketing at the Tourism Ministry, Nia Niscaya, at weekly press briefing, Monday, (2/07) explained that the Bali warm up vacation package is different from the quarantine package. One of the differences is that PPLN can continue to enjoy facilities in hotel areas that apply a bubble system or not quarantine in the room.

So that the hotel services provided by PPLN are not limited to rooms only, but more freely allow PPLN to do activities in hotel facilities such as swimming pools, gyms, dining rooms, so they can enjoy the beautiful beaches in the bubble area in Bali.

“So, this is different from quarantine, which is only in the room. This warm up vacation program is carried out at a hotel that has implemented a bubble system that is ready with disciplined health protocols,” said Nia.

Currently, the total quarantine hotels recommended by the COVID-19 task force as of February 2, 2022 are 66 hotels. Five of them have been allowed to apply the bubble system. Meanwhile, 61 other hotels are still implementing the usual quarantine system.

The number of hotels that facilitate this warm up vacation program will continue to grow, while there are 19 other hotels that have proposed to become bubble system hotels, and their readiness still needs to be verified.

“Currently there are 5 bubble system quarantine hotels used for the warm up vacation program, namely Grand Hyatt Nusa Dua (Nusa Dua), Westin Resort (Nusa Dua), Griya Santrian (Nusa Dua). Sanur), Viceroy (Ubud), and Royal Tulip (Jimbaran),” she noted.

In the future, she continued the number of quarantine hotels with the bubble system will continue to be added according to the needs and results of field verification. This is intended so that PPLN can have a variety of choices according to their tastes.

Furthermore, Nia emphasized that there are options for PPLN visiting Bali regarding the self-quarantine package, namely the usual quarantine system as implemented in Jakarta and other areas that are not in bubble areas.

“In quarantine hotels that do not implement a bubble system, PPLNs are only allowed to move in their rooms or villas, they are not allowed to go out. But uniquely, in Bali there is a choice of quarantine hotels that offer villas with private swimming pools, so PPLNs can feel a more pleasant atmosphere. compared to quarantines in other areas. Currently, there are 61 regular quarantine hotels, with more than 3400 rooms,” Nia Niscaya remarked.

In supporting the Bali warm up vacation program, Nia added that the application for an E-visa visiting Indonesia was also made easier. Tourists can directly check the regulations at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights for the submission and application of the E-visa.

“In addition, the immigration office also provides a hotline for travel agents who arrange E-visas for tourism. Or for more information, you can access https://visa-online.imigration.go.id/,” Nia affirmed.

She added that this (Warm Up Vocation Program) is a kind of trust building and this is where the government comes in. It has to be started, it has to be piloted (tested), otherwise we can’t evaluate what needs to be improved. [traveltext.id]
