THE COVID-19 Handling Task Force does not require the Mandalika 2022 MotoGP racers and officials to undergo centralized quarantine because they are in the travel bubble scheme.
“If you have bubble quarantine, it means that centralized quarantine will not be carried out because of overlaps,” said Head of Health Handling of the COVID-19 Task Force, Alexander K. Ginting, quoted from antaranews, Sunday (2/06).
He explained that the travel bubble scheme allows travelers who are in it to be protected from the risk of spreading COVID-19.
“Bubbles are in quarantine where the bubbles move but must not burst. So that each bubble will be consistent in its own bubble without bursting,” he explained.
For information, according to the Circular Letter of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force Number 5 of 2022, racers are people who are officially registered as motorcycle racing athletes in the Mandalika 2022 MotoGP activity.
Meanwhile, the officials are the people who are officially registered as the driver’s companion team to provide training support, vehicle maintenance, medical and nutrition, media, organizer, and other support. The Mandalika MotoGP will be held on March 18-20, 2022 at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). [sources/photo special]
