FERRARI will produce the Purosangue Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) this year and then start distributing it in 2023.
This good news has been eagerly awaited for three and a half years since the Italian auto company announced that it will enter the SUV market which will produce vehicles such as the Lamborghini Urus and Aston Martin DBX. On the other hand, car manufacturers still continue to keep important details about their vehicles secret.
Quoted from CarsCoops, Tuesday (2/08) a number of Purosangue prototypes have received a lot of attention, and were monitored during testing in recent months.
There is an opinion that the Purosangue will not have a typical SUV shape like the Urus and DBX. In addition, the car will use a mix of Ferrari and Maserati parts.
Many wanted the vehicle to carry the same 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 hybrid system engine as the 296 GTB. That powertrain makes a total of 819 hp and 546 lb-ft (740 Nm).
If the 2.9-liter V6 were installed without an electric motor, it would still produce 654 hp and have a power advantage over the Urus. Other reports suggest that the twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 of the SF90 Stradale supercar, without an electric motor, is also possible. [sources/photo special]
