MINISTER of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno stated that in addition to undergoing the MotoGP pre-season test at the Mandalika Circuit Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, the racers could also travel to enjoy the natural beauty of the island of Lombok, Indonesia.
“The enthusiasm of the riders can be seen in the photos of their social media posts, really appreciating the beauty of Lombok,” said Sandiaga Uno, during a press conference, after checking the readiness of the MotoGP pre-season test at the Mandalika Circuit in Praya, Central Lombok, Thursday (2/10).
He said that I felt proud after months of preparation and the Mandalika Circuit has been confirmed to be used for the 2022 MotoGP pre-season test. We continue to prepare supporting facilities for the MotoGP event, next March.
Sandiaga Uno also feels proud because Indonesia has the Mandalika Circuit and this is a symbol of economic revival after being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic for more than two years.
“This is the beginning of the community’s economic revival with the Mandalika Circuit. Therefore, I hope for support from all parties so that Indonesia can hold the MotoGP event and Indonesia will become a destination for quality sport tourism in the eyes of the world,” he remarked.
He explained that this pilot event was the beginning to show the world, because there will be 400 million eyes that will stare at Lombok, Indonesia. [traveltext.id]
