SWISS-Belhotel International announced the launch of the Māua brand with the opening of its first property, Māua Nusa Penida, Bali, Indonesia in the second quarter of 2022.
According to Emmanuel Guillard, Senior Vice President of Operations and Development at Swiss-Belhotel International, said The Māua brand is rooted in New Zealand’s Maori culture, which is built on togetherness and the strength of the relationship between humans and nature. Māua is also environmentally friendly and focused on the goal of reducing its carbon footprint, is classified as a natural habitat, and is surrounded by natural elements.
The first Māua property is located on Nusa Penida, a small island off the southeast coast of the island of Bali, next to Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. This area has become one of the popular tourist destinations in Bali, because of its beauty and peace because it is far from the crowds.
Nusa Penida Island can be reached in 40 minutes by speed boat from Sanur, Bali. Visitors can explore the vast highlands and beautiful beaches that dot the shores of the island. In addition, visitors can also witness the beautiful marine life in the clear sea water that surrounds the island.
